Radio DJ and TV personality Lisa Snowdon shares her experience of CoolSculpting

Model, radio presenter and This Morning’s resident style queen Lisa Snowdon knows how important it is to look good and to stay fit and healthy. The 49-year-old practices yoga, works out in the gym and on occasion gives her body system a break by quitting alcohol and following a plant-based diet. But even as healthy as she is, like most of us, the natural beauty still has those stubborn areas of fat that will not shift no matter how much you exercise or follow a healthy lifestyle.

Here Lisa shares with us why she chose to have CoolSculpting and her experience of the non-invasive, No1 fat-freezing treatment in the world.

Many celebrities keep their beauty procedures and treatments secret because they don’t like to admit they are anything less than perfect. Why are you sharing your CoolSculpting experience?

When I find something that works for me, I just love to tell people about it. And I think it’s really important that women and men know that this treatment is out there.

Can you tell us about your CoolSculpting journey?

My CoolSculpting journey started when I went for an appointment and had a consultation with the doctor. I showed her my areas of concern. She assessed the area, my inner thighs, and she told me that I would be a good candidate for the treatment. I asked her all the questions that we usually ask. I took away all that information, and had a little think about it. I went back, and on my day of treatment she took some before pictures. She drew on my legs. We did the treatment, in and out really quickly, no downtime whatsoever. I went back about two months later when we did a new set of photos. We compared the before and afters, and I was really happy with the results.

What areas can be treated with CoolSculpting?

CoolSculpting targets those stubborn areas of fat that no amount of diet and exercise can shift. It can treat many areas so you can treat the double chin. Some men can do the chest area. You can treat the backs of arms, tummy, flanks, and inner thighs.

How long did your CoolSculpting treatment take?

My CoolSculpting treatment took 35minutes, but it depends on the area that’s being treated. It can take over an hour for some areas. But for me, I was just checking some emails and before I knew it, the treatment was over.

Does CoolSculpting hurt?

It’s different for everyone. For me, the sensation was tingling at first, then extreme coldness. It goes cold because the treatment’s called CoolSculpting; it’s freezing the fat and then it just goes numb, and you don’t feel anything. Once the applicator’s come off, the doctor massages the area to get the blood flow back. I say it’s more unusual than anything else, but definitely for me, there was no pain. But it’s different for everybody.

What is the recovery time after treatment?

Because CoolSculpting is completely nonsurgical there is minimal down1me for most people. For me, there was absolutely no downtime whatsoever.

In your experience does CoolSculpting work?

CoolSculpting has worked for me and it’s given me extra confidence in my body. My jeans fit me really well, and it really does compliment my lifestyle. However. it’s important to remember that you have to maintain a healthy lifestyle to maintain results.
