Fruit and veg – must it all be organic?

Buying organic produce isn’t cheap, so here is a list that shows you which fruit and veggies you should buy organic and which ones you can purchase from the supermarket, ultimately saving you money but minimising your exposure to the toxic pesticides sprayed on them.

Always buy the following organic:

Apples, cherries, bell peppers, cucumbers, raspberries, strawberries, peaches and nectarines, spinach, celery, pears, grapes, lettuce and potatoes.

Buy conventionally grown (these tend to be low pesticide):

Bananas, onions, aubergines, watermelons, cabbages, avocado, tomatoes, mangoes, papaya, peas, pineapples, mushrooms, kiwi, sweet potatoes, asparagus and sweet corn.

Additionally you can supplement a healthy diet with vitamins, minerals and food supplements, available to buy online from our shop
