Meyer Clinic is delighted to offer bespoke, non-invasive and comfortable Dermalux Tri Wave LED light therapies within our clinic here in Chichester as a state-of-the-art advancement in clinically safe, highly effective skin repair, rejuvenation and restoration.
Beautiful, radiant skin is often a priority for our clients. One of the key advantages of Dermalux light therapy is that it can be used to address a wide range of concerns, from helping to repair sun damage to tackling wrinkles and enlarged or open pores to soothing irritation and smoothing scars.
This highly functional, needle-free therapy boosts the production of collagen within your skin, reducing redness and inflammation and enhancing the skin’s texture. It is gentle enough to use as a targeted treatment even for sensitive skin conditions, including acne and psoriasis.
Let’s explain all you need to know about Dermalux, how the treatment works, what to anticipate from your first Dermalux LED light therapy session, and how quickly you should expect to see results.
The Science and Technology Behind Dermalux LED Light Therapy
Dermalux is a well-established name in skincare technology, and the Tri Wave LED therapy we offer combines a powerful but speedy, pain-free, and incredibly effective treatment that outperforms many conventional alternatives.
Using natural light, the device emits LED light waves towards the targeted area, with an instant improvement in blood flow and skin vitality. Ongoing improvements become visible over the course of a series of treatments, which can be used to address multiple skin concerns.
As a clinically proven, FDA-approved therapy, each treatment involves the application of specific wavelengths depending on your goals and skin aspirations, which can include:
- Blue Light: An antibacterial light treatment that can deliver fantastic improvements for skin that is congested or for clients suffering from acne. Blue light therapy is also used for skin tightening and to lessen the impacts of Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD).
- Red Light: For the treatment of uneven skin tones, a loss of hydration, fine lines and wrinkles as a soothing, restorative treatment that plumps and smooths.
- Near-Infrared Light: Reaches deeper into the skin layers and targets the skin’s anti-inflammatory properties to accelerate the speed of repair, reduce redness, and lower irritation.
Depending on any specific concerns or outcomes you’d like to see, we can, of course, customise your Dermalux LED phototherapy accordingly, often combining light waves within each treatment session. For example, blending more intense near-infrared wavelengths with blue and red light may be ideal for sensitive, damaged, or compromised skin, working together to improve skin integrity and appearance.
The Compelling Benefits of Cutting-Edge Dermalux Therapy for Skin Rejuvenation
We’ve touched on the myriad conditions, concerns, and aesthetic inconsistencies in skin tone and texture that Dermalux is suitable for. The reason this therapy is so widely applicable is that it energises the skin from the inside out and augments the speed at which your skin can naturally renew and repair itself by up to 200%, resulting in stronger, more beautiful skin.
However, a less-known use of Dermalux is to manage pain and soreness and treat conditions impacting other areas aside from the face, including the body and hands. For example, we may recommend Dermalux LED light therapy as a form of non-invasive pain relief or to treat skin pigmentation or scarring on the hands or back.
The red light LED treatment activates your skin cells, prompting an increase in collagen and elastin production. This, in turn, has a plumping, renewing effect due to enhanced hydration. This Dermalux treatment is also a gentle way to soothe and relieve muscular and joint pain without any medications involved.
Blue and infrared light is better suited to reducing excess sebum, calming skin conditions caused or exacerbated by bacteria, and addressing pigmentation and irritation. This also means that Dermalux is an excellent way to treat conditions that are otherwise considered difficult to manage, including rosacea.
As always, we like to start by having an in-person consultation to discuss what you’d like to achieve or your concerns, which could include other conditions we’ve not yet highlighted, such as eczema.
This gives us a foundation from which to build a bespoke therapy plan. We can then advise on the right controlled levels of Dermalux light settings we recommend for your skin and provide guidance on any other skincare, lifestyle changes, or well-being therapies we believe would be beneficial for you.
What to Expect From a Multi-Award-Winning Dermalux Treatment With Meyer Clinic
As you would expect, we endeavour to ensure that every therapy or treatment here at Meyer Clinic is a pleasant, relaxing, and holistic experience. We take all the time needed to explain how each process works, put you at ease, and ensure your comfort.
In total, a Dermalux treatment takes around 20 minutes. Without needles or any side effects, you are free to return to your normal routine straight afterwards, without any downtime or recovery. Instead, you’ll see a fresh glow and energy in your skin!
The treatment itself is known to have mood-enhancing benefits, and within a peaceful, calming environment, we’ll ensure you make the most of the break from your schedule to leave us feeling better, brighter and revitalised.
While we’d advise you to apply an SPF if you expect to head outside on a sunny day immediately after LED light therapy, applying makeup if you wish is safe, provided you take the usual precautions to protect your skin from direct or intense sunlight.
Because Dermalux naturally stimulates your skin, you’ll see further improvements in the coming weeks. Often, the full impact of light therapy is visible within around six weeks after the end of your final treatment session.
If you’re intrigued by Dermalux, wish to discuss the ideal therapies and treatments to restore and replenish your skin, or would like to chat with one of our aesthetic, skincare and well-being specialists in confidence about the right ways to manage your concerns, you are warmly welcomed to get in touch with the Meyer Clinic team at your convenience.
