Exosome Therapy

Exosome Therapy forms part of Meyer Clinic regenerative medicine approach and allows us to support treatment in clinic with a homecare regime.

Exosomes are minuscule particles that are naturally released from cells and contain a mixture of lipids, proteins, amino acids, and peptides, essentially all the building blocks needed for cellular repair and their main function is to enable cell-to-cell communication. Exosomes penetrate the skin easily due to their fatty envelopes and then trigger the regeneration and production of collagen and elastin on each application, also reducing any skin discomfort and reducing inflammation during in-clinic treatment.

Exosomes can be plant, animal or human derived. At Meyer Clinic we use EXO|E Skin Revitalising Complex, an innovative treatment that utilises biomimetic plant stem cell technology to optimise the skin, including growth factors, peptides, liposomes, amino acids, proteins, and PDENs (plant derived extracellular nanoparticles). Within an EXO|E treatment protocol, around 30 billion extracellulare vesicles are used. The treatment compromises of three stages, including D|TOX, EXO|E, and RE|PAIR.

Exosomes are ideally combined with in-clinic treatments in a protocol such as microneedling, laser and polynucleotides and for hair loss, hair growth treatment. They ensure faster healing, less discomfort during treatment and give an improved outcome for optimal results.

Treatment with EXO|E is ideally started at home in the form of serum application a week before a patient’s clinic treatment visit. Then used in clinic post-treatment and maintained after-treatment at home, depending on the recommended protocol.
